Here are the key facts…
At approximately 9:32PM on 16th June 2025, 39-year-old Sieara Nicole Smith was found “unconscious and not breathing” before being pronounced dead at the scene.
A semi-truck towing one of the tanks was traveling eastbound in a convoy with a Chevy Suburban when it struck a pedestrian. Both vehicles were involved in the accident.
Neither driver was charged, no military personnel were involved, and police request any information be sent to their “TEXT TIP LINE at 50411”.
According to reports by the police department:
“Smith ran into the road, stumbled and fell in front of the semitrailer truck, according to the preliminary investigation. Pinned under the truck, she was dragged for several blocks, police said, before becoming dislodged and hit by a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban being driven behind the truck.
Both drivers stayed on the scene, police said.”
There is speculation that Sieara may have been intoxicated, though these are unsubstantiated claims. Other witnesses suggest she may have been caught off-balance by a vehicle. Some blame the lack of pedestrian safety measures in high traffic areas.
Whether it was just a matter of “wrong place at the wrong time” or an unfortunate accident, one thing bothers me greatly:
It never would have happened if we weren’t paying to transport military equipment like giant squeaky-tanks for a parade that nobody but the TACO-in-Chief wanted.
This military parade cost a woman her life.
That is unacceptable and inexcusable.
